Marriage Instruction
Fr Harrie, Rev Les Ruhrmund and Rev Tony van Vuuren run two Mini Marriage courses each year concerning Marriage. The course is run in conjunction with the Prepare and Enrich course that is recommended for couples preparing for marriage.
Mini Marriage: Open lectures
In Preparation for the Sacrament of Marriage, a three lecture course is given covering:
The Church's teaching on Marriage
Legal Issues & Planning the Wedding Service
Sexuality and Family Planning
Prepare & Enrich: Confidential
An Enrichment Course is given for pre-nuptial and married couples covering the following topics:
Explore relationship strengths and growth areas
Strengthen communication skills
Resolve conflicts
Develop a financial plan
Develop personal, couple and family goals
This course is conducted over 4 to 6 weeks with a member of the clergy and the couple in complete confidentiality. For the sacrament of Marriage, contact must be made with Fr Hovers, Deacon Les or Deacon Tony at least six months prior to the set date.
